28 September 2020

The ANMF (Federal Office) has national policies relating to nursing, health and social justice, which outline ANMF’s position and provide guidance to members in their practice and at their workplaces. Through the review process ANMF (SA Branch) and members have an opportunity to be part of the review process and ensure policies, etc, remain contemporary and reflects members feedback.

The ANMF Federal Position Statement is related to Employment of Undergraduate Students of Nursing and Midwifery. Please note new proposed changes to the policy are highlighted in yellow.

A registered undergraduate student of nursing/midwifery is defined for the purpose of this position statement as an individual enrolled within a recognised nursing and/or midwifery program leading to registration as a nurse and/or midwife, who is registered with the NMBA as a student nurse and/or midwife.
