COVID-19 Vaccinations

 

For Diploma of Nursing and Sterilisation Students

All persons engaging in work or duties in the following healthcare settings must be vaccinated against COVID-19 with a TGA approved or recognised vaccine, with the first dose being completed by 1 November 2021, and the second dose being completed within the interval recommended by ATAGI:

• public and private hospitals;

Healthcare setting workers vaccination

For Certificate III Individual Support Students

For Residential Aged Care Facilities
From 6 December 2021, the person must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as well as influenza vaccination.

Residential aged care facilities

For all in-home and community aged care and disability workers

A person must not engage in work or perform duties of an in-home and community aged care worker or a disability support worker from 30 November 2021 unless -

(a) the person has received at least one dose of a TGA approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine; and
(b) the person has received, or has evidence of a booking to receive, a second dose of a TGA approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine within the interval after the first dose recommended by the ATAGI for that COVID-19 vaccine.
