Each year the state budget provides an opportunity for the State Government to ensure its revenue and expenditure plans deliver growth and work towards a better future for South Australians.

ANMF (SA Branch) developed a submission and highlighted six key areas where investment can contribute to significant improvements in the health and wellbeing of South Australians and position the health system towards achieving these outcomes.

Our submission was structured around investment areas that also align with the State Governments commitments as set out in the South Australian Health and Well Being Strategy 2020-25.

In addition to a commitment to secure workforce planning and the implementation of sustainable models of care, we are seeking investment that will enable a high-quality vocational education and training (VET) system response that is cognisant of the social determinants of health and works towards individual economic participation in the state’s economy.
