Course Overview

The Advanced Diploma of Nursing is a nationally accredited qualification which reflects the role of enrolled nurses with advanced skills who work in a specialised area of nursing practice.

At this level, enrolled nurses integrate and adapt specialised, technical and theoretical knowledge to address a diverse range of clinical situations and challenges in their area of specialisation.

They contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice using research and participation in broader organisational quality practices.

ANMEC offers the following streams:
Advanced Diploma of Nursing (Acute Care) stream
Advanced Diploma of Nursing (Aged Care and Individual Support) stream

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander & culturally and linguistically diverse background applicants are encouraged to apply.

12 – 18 months – self-directed learning comprising of online learning and workplace assessments

Course Requirements
Applicants must:
  • Be currently working as an enrolled nurse in the appropriate clinical setting
  • Provide evidence of current registration as an enrolled nurse without notation with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Additional entry requirements may apply.

VET Student Loans
Eligible students are entitled for loans up to a capped amount of $15,225 for this course. Students are required to contribute the gap should the total tuition fee exceed the loan cap.

Course Cost
Subsidised Training students (limited places available):
$1,050 – ANMFSA members
$2,850 – non ANMFSA members

Full Fee cost (for students not receiving Subsidised Training – VET student loans available):
$6,050 for ANMFSA members
$7,850 for non-members

VET student loans can be used in conjunction with Subsidised Training
