Australia’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs is seeking your feedback as part of reviews into two of its key programs

1. Review of rehabilitation appliance services
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is seeking input from health providers into a review of its Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) and aids and appliances provided under rehabilitation plans. Health providers can provide input into the review directly by emailing DVA at by 22 August 2018. The article about the review of rehabilitation appliance service can be found here.

2. Review of online professional development programs
DVA is reviewing its online professional development programs to better understand the requirements and incentives that motivate health professionals to complete these programs, and the ANMF has been invited to participate.

The review stems from a Senate Inquiry into suicide by veterans and ex-service personnel, The Constant Battle: Suicide by Veterans. This survey will help DVA make the online programs’ requirements and incentives more relevant to health professionals.

The survey aims to understand which of the free, online professional development programs offered by DVA have been completed by health professionals throughout Australia. For individuals who have not complete the programs, the survey seeks to understand incentives that may encourage you to participate in DVA online professional development.

The 5-minute survey will remain open until 21 September 2018 and can be accessed here.
