More frontline workers speak up over hospital ramping and overcrowding

“We’re on the frontline and we compare it to working on a warzone, but I also think if I was working on a warzone, I’d probably have access to more resources than I currently do in the emergency department.”

More frontline nurses, doctors and paramedics have stepped up to call for solid action to unblock our hospitals in a second video released today by the ANMF (SA Branch) in collaboration with the SA Salaried Medical Officers Association and Ambulance Employees Association (SA).

The video is one of two that feature the voices of staff at the coalface of Adelaide’s major metropolitan hospitals where ambulances continue to ramp and emergency departments continue to pack full of patients who deserve a far better functioning health system than what is currently being delivered.
