Wage win for our Southern Cross Care PCWs

Following a positive round of negotiations with Southern Cross Care (SCC), the ANMF (SA Branch) has won a significantly improved classification structure for SCC Personal Care Worker members, enabling them, for the first time, to move from Level 4 to Level 5 based on hours of experience.  

Members are no longer required to hold a “special role” to attain Level 5.  

As a result of this agreement coming into force, hundreds of PCWs will be reclassified to a higher level, resulting in a further wage increase this year.  

It is our view that there is still work to be done to further improve this structure and we note this agreement nominally expires on 30 June 2023.  

Southern Cross Care and your union are required to commence negotiations for a new agreement no later than 1 April 2023. We look forward to further positive discussions with your employer at that time.
