Feedback sought on Rural Emergency Nurse Practitioner Model of Care

9 April 2021

Members are invited to give feedback on ANMF (SA Branch)’s response to the Rural Emergency Nurse Practitioner Model of Care, released by SA Health.

The Rural Emergency Nurse Practitioner Model of Care is a component of a suite of work being undertaken to provide innovative, contemporary, flexible and adaptable approaches to addressing rural health service gaps and build professional capacity and sustainability within the rural nursing workforce.

The model of care has been developed under the guidance of the SA Health Rural Health Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Nursing/Midwifery Roles Steering Committee.

It identifies the importance of inter-related key elements of leadership, workforce, education and support structures, vital to supporting, growing and fully realising the opportunities the rural nurse practitioner models of care can offer rural and remote communities.
