WHS and violence in aged care

26 November 2020

Does your aged care workplace have episodes of violence and aggression that are not being resolved?

Have you or any of your co-workers been injured through a violent incident?

The ANMF (SA Branch) has a zero tolerance for violence and aggression that is directed to ANY Nurse or Personal Care Worker!

If you have been affected by a violent or aggressive incident, we ask that you notify us immediately so that we can work with you to address your concerns and assist you to be safe.

All feedback to be sent to [email protected]

Members and supporters are also encouraged to stand up and make a difference to the safety and security of nurses, midwives and personal care workers across the health system by reporting their experiences with violence – as they happen – via our new online reporting tool, to help us shine a spotlight on the near-daily attacks on our health care professionals.

Note: Your personal and workplace details will remain confidential, although a de-identified version of your experience may be used in ANMF (SA Branch) communications to raise awareness of the frequency and impact of violence on nurses, midwives and personal care workers.
