Nursing and Midwifery Art prize

The Rosemary Bryant Foundation, in partnership with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (SA Branch), is proud to announce that entries are now open for an Art Prize to celebrate the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife in 2020.

Works must be in a 2D format. All styles, techniques, and mediums are welcome.

Prize categories and themes
There are three main categories that artwork can be submitted into as per below:

Nurses, Midwives and Aged Care Workers
A piece that represents the rewards and/or challenges that flow from practice.
First Prize $1,000 cash
Second Prize $500 cash

Students in nursing, midwifery and aged care work
A piece that represents a nursing/midwifery theory or philosophy.
First Prize $1,000 cash
Second Prize $500 cash

Young artists (Four age categories of 5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14-18)
A piece that shows why nurses, midwives, and/or aged care workers are important.
Prize packs for winners in each category
Prize packs for runner-ups in each category

Judging
A special judging panel will review the works and will choose a number of finalists to be featured in an exhibition. The judges are not simply looking for works that display outstanding technical skills. They will be looking for surprising or interesting interpretations and compositions; and works that demonstrate a strong connection with the theme.
