Australian Defence Force personnel have been deployed to SA hospitals and the multi-agency COVID-19 Command Centre to assist in the response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The SALHN says the workload for our hard-working frontline health staff and those behind the scenes will continue to increase, so this is a huge boost to provide support from defence force personnel.

Teams will be based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and State Command Centre where they will complement the work already happening to prepare the health system.

This week SALHN welcomed Major Arron Kinleyside, Major Talal Moutrage and Captain Boris Lopez to Flinders Medical Centre who will provide welcome assistance with planning and preparedness for the COVID-19 crisis. They will assist with planning in the initial phase and potentially take on other tasks.
