Since 12 November we have been engaged in renewed discussions with representatives of State Government employers over enterprise bargaining claims.
Those discussions have been conducted in a productive and cooperative fashion seeking to address some of the issues that have been at the centre of differences to date.
We were planning to meet in a mass stop work rally on Thursday 28 November should bargaining continue to be deadlocked as it was before the current round of negotiations.
It is clear that any further industrial action at this point is unnecessary nor will it be productive.
As a consequence ANMF (SA Branch) Executive has resolved to cancel the planned rally and leave other industrial action suspended until the current processes are completed.
Full reports will be provided to members when either new proposals are received or, alternatively, the negotiations are concluded without agreement.
